We have had a fun and festive week. The kids each had parties at school and made some fun hats, dream catchers, turkeys, etc. Savannah learned a fun song (see video below)! Today we spent time together as a family - played Settlers of Catan (we are teaching Trev) and a Turkey Trot vocabulary game Trev made at school. We also watched a movie and read some Thanksgiving books from the library. The temperature today was in the 70s! So we went to the beach and let the kids run around in the sand for a while before dinner. Don't worry, it is dropping to 48 tomorrow.
It is kind of strange to have Thanksgiving dinner with just the four of us! The kids favorites were sweet potato casserole and pumpkin pie. Savannah kept asking us how one would catch a turkey, since they run so fast, and can fly:). We went around the table and went through the alphabet, taking turns saying things we were grateful for with each letter. We are so blessed. The kids did the wishbone, and Trevor won - I wonder what he wished for.
Hope you are all having a great turkey day!!!

"Oh, I'm glad I'm not a turkey, a turkey, a turkey.
Oh, I'm glad I'm not a turkey on Thanksgiving Day.
They stuff you and bake you, and then they all taste you!
Oh, I'm glad I'm not a turkey on Thanksgiving Day!"
