With Trevor getting out of school last Friday, we wanted to do something FUN - a last little road trip before the baby arrives. We thought about going down to Williamsburg, but it was going to be over 100 degrees. We threw around a few other ideas, and finally at 3pm on Friday, Ashkii remembered that he had hotel points, and he booked a room in Harrisburg - we decided to head to Hershey, PA!!! Not near as hot, a beautiful drive, and what better place for a pregnant woman to go than Chocolate WORLD!!!
So, it was a quick, spontaneous trip (we packed in about 30 min.), but so much fun. We went on the tour of the "factory" twice - here is some video of the cutest part. My Grandma T LOVES chocolate, so I kept thinking of her. And since I probably won't get you on a plane to come out here, Grandma, I took lots of pics for you.
We took a trolley tour of the city. The streetlight lamps are shaped like Hershey kisses! This is a picture of the mansion Mr. Hershey built for his wife, and a home he lived in as a child. The trolley tour was fun because they had actors acting like people from the past and singing - our kids loved it. And we learned a lot about the Hersheys and the town they helped build.

Savannah was in heaven - Grandma's Ts love for chocolate was passed on to both of us!

This NEVER happens - she was really worn out!

How fun! I am so jealous that you live out there so close to so many fun things!
How come you aren't in any of the pics? :)
What a fun trip! Spontaneity is a great thing--especially when it takes you to the land of chocolate! :)
Looks like such a fun trip . . . especially being prego. You look great, by the way!
I've been there before and loved the ride because they gave free chocolate bars at the end. I rode it many times. I would love to go there again!
